Inn on The Border has New Owners

Tucked down away from the wind at the BC/Alberta border, Inn on the Border has long been known as a haven for snowmobilers. Under new owners Verlee and Curtis Hagley, it is growing into something even better—a great place for snowmobilers, ATV users, and the entire community.

Verlee and Curtis opened for the year two weekends ago to a full and appreciative house. In addition to snowmobile rentals and cozy accommodations, Inn on the Border offers fine dining to the entire community in a completely renovated and friendly atmosphere. Inn on the Border backs onto 2400 km of trails in Alberta and BC and miles of opened bowls. Indoors, a pool table and a big screen tv await, along with big portions of great food. They will be open year-round, allowing ATV users access as well, and they also hope to see fishing clientele. They are close to several hugely popular fly- Fishing areas, including the Crowsnest and Elk Rivers.

On top of everything you’ve come to expect from Inn on the Border, Verlee and Curtis want to open their doors to local residents as well. They buy locally as much as they can, and know the value of a small community. Inn on the Border is a great place not only for good food, but to meet and spend an evening with people from throughout the country who share an interest in outdoor recreation. They are corporate members of the Crow Snow Riders, the  Quad Squad, and the Fernie Snowmobile Club, as they want to help support the entire area.

Their grand opening will be on Saturday, November 4, starting at 5:00 p.m., and reservations are welcome. So far they have received rave reviews on the new look and the great food, including their mesquite smoked, lean prime rib, cooked to order.

Come on out and say hello, try out the food, try out the trails, and enjoy the great new atmosphere at Inn on the Border.
